Activities
Impact is financed via Arq by the Dutch ministries of Health, Welfare and Sports (VWS), Safety and Justice(VenJ) and Defense. Subsidies and accountability are arranged through The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
The main activities of Impact are:
- Accessibility and consulting
- Impacts role as a networking organisation
- Knowledge sourcing, securing and provision
In addition to this Impact delivers projects through additional funding for VWS, BZK, the European Commission, the Achmea foundation for victims and society (SASS), the Dutch Association for Majors and the Gratama Foundation.
Impact drafts annual work programmes. These work programmes consist of multi-year programmes and new projects. The policy frameworks of the ministries (VWS, BZK and Defence) determine to a large extent the annual work programmes. Impacts activities are driven by actual demand where the topics from the field are translated into tangible products and services. Impact works together with the Centre for Health and Environment of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) to provide integrated advice to the authorities in case of disasters and calamities.
