EUTOPA: European Network for Psycho-social aftercare

Following the successful completion of EUTOPA, European Guideline for Target Group oriented psychosocial aftercare, we now continue our work within EUTOPA-IP, which has once more been awarded funding by the European Commission Directorate General ENVIRONMENT.

The overall objective of EUTOPA-IP is to implement and extend the products of EUTOPA.
The Target Group Intervention Programme (TGIP) is one of these products and was developed by the Institute for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Cologne Germany and the Alexianer Hospital in Krefeld Germany.

Several activities have already been organized within the framework of EUTOPA-IP.

  • A kick off workshop in Cologne on September 17th. 2009. This kick-off workshop had a tragic background. On the third of March in 2009 the historical Cologne City Archive collapsed because of construction difficulties.
  • On January 11th 2010, the European Commission Directorate Environment organized a kick off meeting .
  • On the 16th and 17th of September 2010, Impact organised a meeting in Amsterdam. Main goal was to gain insight into the extent to which the principles of peer support as a basis for psychosocial support for uniformed service members is carried within Europe.

EUTOPA-IP newsletter

Through this digital newsletter all participants and other persons interested will be informed about the ongoing development of the EUTOPA Project-IP. The newsletter is written in English, German, Spanish, Czech and Dutch.

The EUTOPA-IP newsletter will be published quarterly.
Each edition will have a host editor from one of the project partners.
