In January 2012, the "Guide to commemorate: points to consider when organizing a commemorative ceremony shortly after traumatic events, disasters and calamities" was published. This guide was made to help project teams with the organization of a commemorative ceremony in the hectic days after a shocking event and to offer them practical tools for starting and completing the process. It also provides a framework to make decisions concerning the specific situation.

In contact with survivors

In june 2011, Impact publised this booklet with tips, insights and points of consideration for government officials from especially municipalities, who are responsible for maintaining in contact with survivors of disasters and crises. These officials fulfill an essential task, but often lack the experience and the know-how. This booklets prevents them from having to re-invent the wheel.

Resilience Monitor

In february 2011, Impact published this report on resilience. Based on an internet-survey with 1361 respondents, this study provides an insight into the psychosocial resilience of Dutch citizens. Moreover, research results allowed for the creation of a psychosocial resilience model, that indicates relations between factors Psychological Resilience, Social Context, Trust in Government and Information, and Impact and Behaviour.

Handreiking Update Rampenspirit

This booklet focuses on the role of spiritual care givers as network partners in both the acute phase and aftercare phase of disasters and large shocking events. The update made use of contemporary literature and insight from practice. Specific themes that were considered to be of importance were established in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Guideline psychosocial support for uniformed service members

These guidelines for psychosocial aftercare for uniformed aid workers has been developed in cooperation with the uniformed services of the ambulance, fire brigade, police, army and sea rescue institions. These guidelines provide tools to come to optimal psychosocial aftercare for uniformed aid workers after shocking events. Own resilience and peer support take prominent roles.
