Merel van Herpen

Merel is a sociologist and started working for Impact as a junior policy researcher/adviser in April 2016. She is involved in different project regarding psychosocial support after shocking events. One of these project was a exploratory study to the impact on professionals of the filming of professional behaviour by clients and its successive appearance on social media. In addition to her work at Impact, Merel has started her PhD research with Arq and the AMC in April 2017. She will study the (cost)effectiveness of methods, strategies and interventions focused on supporting and enhancing employee’s resilience and optimal daily functioning. Merel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University.
