Impact is the Dutch national knowledge & advice centre for community resilience and psychosocial care concerning critical incidents. We advice Dutch and foreign ministries, local governments and organisations responsible for the psychosocial support and care during and after crisis and disasters and giving them advice in the preparation phase.
We do that based on international research and international guidelines. Impact is the leading institute on translating scientific research to specific target groups, by developing handbooks and guidelines. We do this in a national and international network of professional end-users, experts and disaster-survivors.
The mission of Impact is to promote high-quality and adequately organised psychosocial care after disasters. The tasks of Impact include combining experience and scientific knowledge, putting such knowledge into understandable form and making it available to various target groups and promoting cooperation among all parties involved.
